Balsam speciliazes in wide plank, long length flooring, where most flooring mills produce boards that are 2 to 5 inches wide and average lengths are less than 42 inches long. Our mill utilizes the full harvested board, allowing up to an 8-1/2 inch face and 16 foot long boards on some species depending upon the grade of the lumber. Boards are hand-selected for its uniqueness for each custom order, as we select the widest, longest, and most colorful boards that these timbers have to offer. You will see the full color, grain, and texture that every board has to show.

Your options are endless as each floor is customized. The grade; widths; lengths; edge and face detail, including hand scrapes and french bleeds; are some of the many selections you have to choose from.
